Kamal Hasan and SriDevi pair up for a new movie

Kamal-Sri Devi pair has once upon a time mesmerised the audience with films like “Vasantha Kokila”, “Akali Rajyam”, “Yerra Gulabilu”. And now this pair is gonnna appear once again for a movie.

Sri Devi who has kept herself away from films after marriage is now getting ready for a Hindi movie. According to sources, a big budget film is on plans which will be directed by Vasu. Kamal Hasan is supposedly playing the male lead with Sri Devi is playing the female lead.

While Kamal is busy with “Dasavataram”, Sri Devi is getting ready for her Hindi film, “Halla Bol”. As close sources say, the movie is all set to start shooting after Kamal is done with “Dasavataram”.

Let’s wait to see the old pair back in action….

Srikanth as Sai Baba

Hero Srikanth has entered telugu film industry as a side actor. He slowly grew as a villan and acted as a young villan in many telugu movies. He has many good movies to his credit as a villan.

Then he became a hero in Tollywood and his major breakthroughs were K.Raghavendra Rao’s Pellisandadi and E.V.V. Satyanarayana’s Aame which made him a mainstream hero. From there, he never looked back……he grew as a family entertaining hero. He tasted both success and failures as a hero.

Slowly he started experimenting with his roles….first he started sharing the screen space with another hero which is actually not seen much in Tollywood. He started doing movies along with his equals like Vadde Naveen, Abbas, Venu and many others. He tasted success with movies like Maa Avida meeda vottu mee avida chala manchidi, Pellam Voorleithe and many more. Then he started doing negative roles again like the one in Adi lakshmi which brought him good applaude. He also did a variety character of a wierd politician recently in Operation Dhuryodhana which was a major hit.

A variety role which brought him close to the hearts of audience and also to Megastar Chiranjeevi is his role of ATM (any time murder) in Shankar Dada M.B.B.S. In the first movie his role was limited to a sidekick with limited dialogues and less comedy. But in the second part, Shankar Dada Zindabad Srikanth was more like a brother than a sidekick to Chiranjeevi. He helps him, advices him, guides him all through the movie. He was like a friend, philosopher and guide to the hero. She shared almost all the scenes with Chiranjeevi in SDZ.

Now Srikanth is ready to explore and invent a new side of actor in him. He is ready to act as a God in his forth coming movie. He going to do the role of Sai Baba in his next film. He is already doing a God’s role but of different genere in Yamagola Malli Modalaindi. He will be seen as Lord Yamah in this film.

Lets wish him all the success…..

Himsinche 23va Raju Pulakesi Review

Himsinche 23va Raju Pulakesi Review

Banner: Mega Super Good Films

Release Date
: 3 August 2007

: Vadivelu, Mounika, Manorama, Nassar, Nagesh, Tejasree

BackEnd :
Dialogues- Sri Rama Krishna, Music- Sabesh Murali, Art- Krishnamurthy, Cinematography- Arthur Wilson
Story - screenplay - direction- Simbudevan, Producer: NV Prasad & Paras Jain

The story is set against 17th century. Mani Varma is the king of a Tamil country. After 22 abortions, the queen finally give birth to twins. The Raja Guru and maternal uncle (Nassar) eyes the crown. Hence he lies to king that only one kid is born. He sends the other kid away. Since this baby is born at the 23rd attempt after visiting Pulakesi temple, the baby boy is named as 23va Raju Pulakesi. Raja Guru makes sure that Pulakesi is bred with bad wits. Pulakesi starts harassing everybody around after crowing as king. The other twin Bhargava grows up in a place far away as a common man. He is a clever guy and has lots of patriotism. After finishing his graduation, Bhargava realizes that he is a look-a-like of the king. He switches the places with the king. The rest of the story is all about how he teaches lessons to Raja Guru and the British.

Positives: The concept of having a comedy flick with 17th century backdrop. It is a period film. Hence it needs extravagant budget. Brahmanandam’s dubbing helped a lot in establishing Vadivelu character. It is easy for Vadivelu to do two characters because he can show variation between these two character with his make-up and costumes. But to dub differently for these two characters is very hard and Brahmandam does it with great ease. The familiar voice of Tanikella Bharani as mantri also helped the film. The production values. The producer has spent over 7 crores as budget for a film that features Vadivelu as hero. Showing a lizard and describing it as one of the characters in the set up. The scene in which Pulakesi escapes from the jail

Negatives: The scenes involving puking and spitting. Tamil nativity: The story suits the taste and sensibilities of Tamil people. But for Telugu audience, there are lots of boring moments. Watching two Vadivelus for two and half hours is little uneasy on our eyes.

Pulakesi is an example of a typical Tamil blockbuster that could go wrong in Telugu because it does not appeal to the Telugu sensibilities.
