NTR's YAMADONGA Releases onAug 15

It is reliably learnt that 'Yamadonga' directed by SS Rajamoulu, presented by Rama Rajamouli and produced by Cherry and Urmila Gunnam on the banner of Viswamitra Creations with NTR, Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas in the lead, is all set to hit the screen on the Independence Day, August 15.

This heavy budget socio fantasy film also has Padma Shri, Dr Mohanbabu, in a prestigious role of Yamadharma Raju, senior artiste Khushboo playing his wife.

Besides, several young heroines like Preeti Jhangiani, Navneet Kaur, Veda Sastry are playing the roles of Rambha, Urvasi and Menaka.

Another speciality of the film is that Daler Mehendi had rendered a song exclusively for this film, the first-ever song by the Punjabi singer in a south Indian film.

Surprisingly, hero NTR and heroine Mamata Mohandas also rendered a re-mix song (duet) in this movie. Moreoever, NTR had shed around 30 kgs for the film and looked very slim and trim.

One more speciality of the movie is that the late NTR and Soundarya would also appear on the screen in this movie, of course with the help of graphics.

DIRECTOR SHANKAR IS NOT HAPPY ?

Going by the overall performance of the film at the box office, “Shivaji” has turned out to be a big hit and has recovered its costs for the producer.

But ever since the film was released, there were talks that the film did very well simply due to Rajni Kanth and the charm that he still holds on the audience. The audience and the industry alike said that there was nothing new in terms of directorial input- everything in the film was already seen before in almost all of Shankar’s film.

What was initially known as Shankar’s film then gradually became Shankar-Rajini film and is now simply known for Rajinikanth’s blockbuster hit.

Rumors are on that Shankar isn’t all that happy with it and has now decided to re-establish his image by making a film with rank newcomers.

Will this one be like “‘Boys”?

IBM launches hi-tech transport innovations

Software major IBM today announced launch of innovations like artificial intelligence in vehicles and traffic management systems, voice recognition technology and traffic-related information tran-sfer through cell phones. By introducing these innovations of transport, IBM believes these inventions could revo-lutionise the transport system.

The innovations would make travelling by planes, trains or automobiles a more convenient and hassle-free experience within the next few years, a company release said. It would also curtail fuels wastage and incidence of accidents. “Researchers and strategists at IBM think that the cure for transportation problems is not building more roads or adding flight” said Mr Daniel Dias, director IBM’s India Research Laboratory.

The emerging technolo-gies especially in commu-nication will make travel safer, more streamlined and able to accommodate ever-increasing growth demands, he added. Under the driver-assist technologies, automobiles would behave as if they have reflexes. They could sense other cars and avoid hazards. They would also be able to exchange information with each other, take corrective action where it was appropriate and provide essential feedback to drivers. The voice recognition systems in vehicles would allow drivers to get real-time flight updates, respond to e-mails and get directions through simple voice commands.
