Hungama Mobile brings ‘Sivaji’ on Mobile
Hungama Mobile, an mobile content developer in India, has released the music of Rajnikant’s blockbuster movie ‘Sivaji – The Boss’ on the mobile platform before its physical launch on CD’s.
This is for the first time in the history of the Indian film industry, that a movie’s soundtrack has been made available on digital platforms prior to the public availability of the CD. Also, the company has made available the mobile content of the movie across various spectrums such as games, images, videos and ringtones.
‘Sivaji’ is the first Tamil movie to use digital vectors as driving pillars of the movie’s promotion with Hungama Mobile. In total Hungama Mobile has deployed Sivaji content across 33 countries with more than 70 operators and partners.
Saleem Mobhani, COO, Hungama Mobile highlighted, “After taking Bollywood on global digital platforms, Tamil music was the next logical frontier, with a large diaspora and an extremely passionate audience for its cinema. We remain fully committed to ensuring that with this program, even our partners in the Tamil Cinema can fully leverage their content to develop new revenue streams and maximize existing ones.”
Hungama mobile which has developed the mobile games and applications for the movie ‘Sivaji’ has created a unique first of its kind ‘Picture Books’ consisting of Rajnikant’s images from the movie along with a one-line trivia around it. The Picture book consists of about 8 different images within one java application with an option of zooming in on the images. Besides this, a calendar of Rajnikant having month-wise days and dates of the entire year with Rajnikant in the background with a different image for each month has also been made available. Also, never before known interesting trivia subscription packs around the movie and Rajnikant have been created to make the mobile experience of the movie enjoyable.
The music of ‘Sivaji’ is also available for purchase on the iTunes Music Store. Besides this, the movie is also being promoted on the world home page of iTunes, a Tamil first.

UAEs poor Rajni fans to feast on “Sivaji”

Indian labourers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can watch Rajnikanth’s latest blockbuster “Sivaji: The Boss” for free thanks to an NGO run by Indian expatriates here.
The Rajni World Welfare Trust (R2WT), comprising 40 non-resident Indians (NRIs) in the UAE, is raising money for the purpose. The tickets, according to the organisation, will be given for Thursday night and Friday matinee shows during the next three weeks.
“There are many hard-working labourers in Dubai who wish to watch the movie but cannot afford it. That is why we decided to buy tickets for them. Our trust members know many labourers and they are giving the tickers to them for free,” Narayana Kannan, a trustee of R2WT said.
While around 50 per cent of the amount, dirham 1,500 (about $400), will come from the trust, members are encouraging friends to donate the rest of the amount, the Khaleej Times reported.
“We are asking our friends to chip in by putting in small amounts like dirham 10 or dirham 20 depending on how much they would like to donate,” Kannan said.
The film has already created a record of sorts in Bahrain with theatres reporting 100 percent occupancy, mainly from the Indian community.
So intense was the pre-release hype in the Gulf country that tickets were sold out two days before the film released Friday.
Directed by Shankar, “Sivaji” is the story of a man who returns to India from the US to do good for the people. It is said to be the most expensive movie ever made in India with a whopping budget of over Rs 600 million ($15 million).
In several Indian cities, especially in south India, Rajni fans waited in serpentine queues to get tickets and were ready to pay anywhere between Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 for a single ticket.
Rajnikanth has ruled the Tamil film industry for over 30 years. The actor’s popularity has, over the years, transcended Indian boundaries. He has fans even in places as unlikely as Japan.

Nag Next Film with Gunnam Ganga Raju

Gunnam Ganga Raju is all set to direct and produce his next movie with Yuvasamrat Akkineni Nagarjuna. The heroine is not yet fixed and this movie will start its shooting after Nagarjuna completes shooting for his yet-to-release and most awaited film, Don.

Ganga Raju, in the past, directed and produced many movies like Little Soldiers, Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju which were run away hits. He has a production company called ‘Just Yellow’. But all these movies were low budget movies with low profile actors and actresses where as this movie might be a big budget movie because it is with Nagarjuna, one of the top stars of Tollywood.

Tollywood HERO BalaKrishna & X-CM Chandra Babu Naidu are Viyyankulu Now

The betrothal function of Nara Lokesh and Brahmani is performed yesterday at NBK's residence, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. TDP supreme Chandrababu Naidu arrived at the venue in a deluxe bus with his entourage in the morning. This auspicious event was held between 11.00 am and 12.10 pm. It was strictly no entry for the press to cover the event. However, some private channels covered the hugnama from outside the gate. The guests included ANR, K Raghavendra Rao, Mohan Babu and family, NTR, Harikrishna, Kalyan Ram, Krishnam Raju and family, Taraka Ratna, Devi Vara Prasad, Allu Arvind, C. Narayana Reddy, KL Narayana, Nagarjuna, Amala, B. Gopal, YVS Chowdary, Daggupati Venkateswara Rao, Gummadi and others. NTR attended the event sporting his latest hairdo. He returned within 15 minutes and left the venue.

Interestingly, the politicians were not to be seen. This is probably due to the event being strictly a personal affair. It was NBK who took the lead to invite a select few from the industry. The marriage is set to take place on August 26 th at 8. 21 a.m. The venue will be HICC, Hitech City, Hyderabad, in view of security.
