"Chennai 600 028" in Telugu-Rights acquired

Producer Almon Raju and People Cine Entertainment acquired the Telugu dubbing rights of singer-turned-producer SP Charan’s offbeat Tamil venture, Chennai-600 028 directed by Venkat Prabhu. A recording muhurat was held on June 21 at SPB’s Kodandapani Audio Lab, Chennai to record the songs under the baton of the original version’s music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. “Since it is a cricket based story we gave the title, Kodithe Kottalira, said Almon Raju, the presenter for the Telugu version. “Though the film has no conventional hero and in fact eleven boys in central characters were introduced for the first time as heroes in a single film, the film is doing housefull business in metros in Tamil Nadu in its eighth week. You need guts to make such an offbeat film and kudos to SP. Charan, son of veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam and its director Venkat Prabhu, son of popular lyricist and composer Gangai Amaran. Since it is a youth-based film, we gave a tag to the main title that reads - Ee Kurra Naayalla Godvento, said Raju.
